Litigation Utilities - Redaction / Privilege Log / Bates / Word Limit / Proof of Service

Redact, build privilege logs, Bates-number, check word limits, and certify service - in the browser.

See it run - a worked example, 100% in this browser tab

The problem

Litigation support work - redacting PII, logging privilege, Bates numbering, checking word limits, certifying service - is repetitive and easy to botch, and cloud tools upload sensitive documents to do it.

The local-first solution

A deterministic, client-side toolkit detects patterns, counts, and fills templates over your pasted input, with no network call, no AI, and the same input always producing the same output.

What it does

Document redaction of SSNs, emails, phones, card/account numbers, EINs, IPs, and custom terms
Privilege log builder: formatted, consistently numbered table plus plain-text export
Bates numbering from prefix, start, pad width, and per-document page counts
Brief word-limit check against FRAP 32 and common federal limits as dated reference data
Proof-of-service generator slot-filled from caption, document, method, and parties
Redaction log records span by category and position, not the cleartext value

Honest scope

A litigation-support companion, not legal advice. Redaction is a heuristic pattern matcher that can miss or over-match PII - review every page. The word-limit table is reference data to confirm against the controlling rule, and the privilege log and proof-of-service builders make no legal determination.

Run the litigation tools

Redact, number, or certify in your browser, then attach the output to a Worklog case or share it through a Gate client portal. Sensitive documents are never uploaded to anyone's cloud.
